Working with Classic FM
ABRSM is the Partner in Music Education of the UK's most popular classical music station, Classic FM.
At the heart of the collaboration was the UK's biggest ever celebration of music teachers, as the two organisations joined forces for Classic FM's Music Teacher of the Year Awards 2017. The refreshed Awards culminated in Shine, hosted by ABRSM and Classic FM, to celebrate and reward teachers who have made a difference to their students' lives.
Supporting schools
ABRSM and Classic FM successfully collaborated on Classical 100, a free online resource for primary schools developed with Decca Records and supported by the Department for Education. Since its launch in November 2015, thousands of schools have signed up to use Classical 100 in classrooms around the UK. In 2018, we launched a new version with 100 activities to accompany the pieces. In 2022, Classical 100 was expanded to include Classroom 200, and now features 200 pieces from a wide range of styles with accompanying lesson plans and additional resources.
